Free Thank You Gift With Donation During August

Aside from ongoing expenses, Stella, Lady, and Brooks have all had expensive emergencies in the last month. These senior animals have been used, abused, and thrown away but they still deserve the best care in their golden years. To show our appreciation for our generous donors, we will be sending thank you gifts for donations of $25 or more.

Anyone who donates between $25-$49 will be sent (3) drawings of our animals that include their story and photo. Grab some crayons or watercolors and enjoy a creative activity for kids and adults alike! Please indicate whether you would like your prints mailed or emailed (for a more eco-friendly option).

Anyone who donates $50 or more will be sent their choice of a lick mat or a handcrafted avocado catnip toy. Please leave us a note indicating your choice when donating. Don’t have animals? Gift it to an animal you know or tell us and we will donate it to a local shelter.

*Gifts can only be shipped to U.S. residents.*

Stella. a rescued cat, looking away from the camera at Ritzy Rescue Ranch

Stella’s Vet Bill: $2,500

Stella deserved a home for the holidays, not a shelter. She was the cat everyone loved but didn’t want when they found out she was 10. She watched all the kittens find homes as she sat in the shelter waiting for hers. The Ritzy Rescue Ranch family gave her a forever home. She is a very affectionate cat. Unfortunately, she is having health issues due to her age. She recently began vomiting blood and became very dehydrated. She is suffering from pancreatitis but is now stable after spending a few days in emergency care. We need your help to cover these bills.

Lady’s Vet Bill: $1,200

Lady is a gorgeous mare who went through many homes before finding a safe, permanent place here at Ritzy Rescue Ranch. She was starved at one of her previous homes when they could no longer afford her food and care, leaving her just skin and bones. She has also suffered health issues with her hooves that make it painful for her to walk due to her years of neglect. At our sanctuary, she has been reunited with her sister Maggie (who went through the same situation) and gets lots of love, medical care, and food. Lady was recently given special shoes to treat her laminitis.

Brooks’ Vet Bill: $1,500

Brooks is a handsome and friendly cat who grew up on a farm where he played with a little girl. The girl dressed him up and took him for walks in her stroller. The girl’s family moved and Brooks ended up in a shelter. He was then rehomed SEVEN times! We assume it is because these other families were keeping him as an inside cat. He hated being inside and would poop outside the litter box constantly. The stress of constantly changing homes caused him to harm himself. That’s when animal control called us and asked us to take him. Now he has a new little girl to play with and lives happily outside in the barn. Brooks recently had emergency dental work completed and is feeling better now.
