WE ARE SO PROUD OF WHAT WE ACCOMPLISHED IN 2023!! What we achieved in 2023 Although we have been rescuing animals for over a decade, in 2023 we celebrated our second year as a 501-c3 nonprofit animal rescue/sanctuary. It was another big year for rescuing animals. We saved many neglected, abused and special needs animals. Many of our residents are senior and require special medications and extra care. We also continue to advocate for TNR for our community's feral cats. We welcomed the Sanctuary’s first sheep. We rescued four senior babydoll ladies before Easter. One of the girls was bred so badly she could barely walk but with some medical care and some TLC, she is now living her best life.Ritzy Rescue Ranch also started its first special needs aviary. We have cared for several birds that were blind, couldn’t walk or had other needs that required special care. We lost several amazing animals that we tried hard to save. They will never be forgotten and remind us why animal rescue is so important. We were able to continue caring for a group of dumped domestic ducks at a local pond which include wellness checks and feedings. We hosted two amazing fundraiser events at our Sanctuary this year. These include our annual Easter & Halloween events. Not only did we raise money to help the animals but people were able to interact with the residents and learn more about the importance of helping animals. We received several grants that helped us with projects around the Sanctuary. We are very blessed to have gotten these funds. We added more predator proof rooms to the aviary and built an insulated pig house for the pigs. Every animal has a safe and warm “room” because every animal deserves a roof over their head. We continued our mission to live “green” and sustainable. Our entire ranch is run on solar and we switched to products that were eco-friendly. We continued educating the public on animal welfare issues, animal enrichment ideas and compassionate living. We met so many amazing people who donated their time and money to help us run the Sanctuary. We cannot continue this work without our supporters. Cheers to 2024 and an even more successful year!
